Natural foraging

Small bites, all day long

More movement

Active eating instead of gulping

Provides enrichment

A challenge that beats boredom

Better wellbeing

Calm in the herd and in the stable

The problem

Your horse eats its hay too quickly

It gets bored and misses the natural movement it was made for.

1

Eating too fast leads to long, empty hours, a source of gastric issues, boredom and stable vices.

2

Standing still at a pile of hay curbs the very movement a horse needs.

3

Loose hay on the ground gets trampled, soiled and wasted.

A more natural and dynamic life for your horse is in your hands: the owner.

The solution

Natural foraging, every single day

The HayNest slows down hay intake in a natural way. It encourages movement, offers a natural head-down eating posture and prevents boredom. Your horse stays busy longer and gets exactly what it needs: calm, rhythm and balance.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you want to know

Why is slower eating better for my horse?

Horses are naturally busy eating small amounts all day. When hay runs out too quickly, long empty periods arise that can lead to gastric issues, boredom and stable vices. The HayNest extends eating time in a natural way and keeps your horse calmer and healthier.

Which environment is the HayNest suitable for?

For paddock, track, pasture and stable. You can lay the HayNest down or hang it up. In the stable too it adds enrichment, hang it up or lay it down.

Which size do I need?

Size M has a 60 cm diameter with 5 cm mesh; size L has a 90 cm diameter with 6 cm mesh. Choose M for ponies and horses with average hay needs, and L for larger horses or longer periods between feeds.

How do I fill the HayNest?

Thanks to the long YKK zipper with protective flap, you open the HayNest in one motion. Fill it in seconds and close it up safely again.
